We are seeking an Administrative Assistant

Techies + Wellness is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our founder, Jamie in creating seamless, transformative wellness experiences and fostering a connected community. We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about our mission, someone who is reliable, organized, a great communicator, detail-oriented and enjoys being in a support role. This person should be resourceful, efficient, self-sufficient, and attuned to holistic wellness, whether they’re living that lifestyle or eager to explore it further. They will play a key role in enhancing productivity, streamlining organizational processes, and supporting the growth of Techies + Wellness.

In this role, you’ll empower our founder to focus more on creating meaningful spaces for personal growth. You’ll play a key role in streamlining operations, handling logistical tasks, event planning and coordination, communicating with staff, partners and our community to make each event and retreat the best experience possible.

Overall goals

  • Enhance Organization: Streamline systems, manage event equipment, and keep documentation well-organized.

  • Provide Support and Increase Efficiency: Empower the founder to focus on her strengths by managing logistical, administrative, and personal tasks.

  • Assist in Online Presence: This includes posting events on the various platforms (Eventbrite and social channels) and working with Canva template to create graphics

  • Strengthen Community and Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with our community and collaborators.

  • Manage Retreat and Event Logistics: Assist founder in the planning, coordination, and execution of retreats and events to ensure seamless, impactful experiences.

  • Support Personal Tasks: Assist with personal arrangements to improve the founder’s overall efficiency and well-being. This can include scheduling personal appointments, managing travel arrangements, handling personal correspondence, organizing personal errands or coordinating personal or family / home-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role, ideally within the wellness or events industry.

  • Strong organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, community, and partners in a timely manner, while serving as a positive force representing Techies + Wellness. We value a warm, professional, and uplifting presence that aligns with our company’s mission and values.

  • High level of reliability, efficiency, and self-sufficiency in managing tasks independently.

  • Skilled in event planning, coordination, and logistical management.

  • Experience using digital tools and platforms to enhance productivity and organization such as Google Sheets, Docs, AI tools, etc.

  • Enthusiastic or attuned to holistic wellness, with a genuine interest in learning more or already living the lifestyle.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations with ease.

  • Creative problem-solver with a proactive mindset for improving processes, pro-actively seeing gaps, supporting the founder and finding innovative solutions.

  • Strong time management skills, keeping track of hours worked and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Comfortable assisting with both professional and personal tasks to support the founder’s overall efficiency and well-being.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to accommodate event and retreat schedules. We value a healthy work-life balance and are equally committed to being flexible with your time and personal priorities.


Time commitment:

This is a flexible, part-time role that can be performed remotely. Time commitment varies based on event schedules and planning cycles, typically ranging from 1–10+ hours per month. Occasional onsite support may be requested for select events.


Energy exchange:

  • Hourly:

    • This is a flexible, hourly independent contractor role. Contractors will be engaged on a 1099 basis and will be asked to complete a Non-Disclosure Agreement and W-9 prior to receiving payment.

    • If you reach 10hr/month max, please communicate ahead of time so we can either prioritize the work or extend beyond 10hr max.
